Mother Maria Luisa Josefa of the Most Blessed Sacrament

We have a great intercessor for this Apostolate, she is the founder of the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart, she needs only one miracle to have her beatification process started. Please check out this site to order a prayer card:

Mother Maria Luisa Josefa, OCDS

Let's start asking her for HELP! Also, the sisters at the convent are now praying for this Apostolate, this ministry of prayer is growing by leaps and bounds, thanks to the Holy Spirit! Praise God for His goodness to us. Please feel free to write the sisters with your prayer request, there is a link on the bottom of their page for prayers. The Carmelits are true to their word when you ask them to pray that is their job in life, that is their vocation!!!

Prayer For the Beatification of
Venerable Mother María Luisa Josefa
of the Most Blessed Sacrament

O Jesus in the Holy Eucharist, King and center of all hearts! Look with merciful love on the petitions we present to You through the intercession of Your servant, Mother Maria Luisa Josefa of the Most Blessed Sacrament. (Pause and request your petition). We humbly beseech You to glorify her who was always such a fervent lover of Your Sacred Heart by granting us these favors if they are for Your greater honor and glory. Amen.

(Written by Mother Margarita María,O.C.D. and approved by Cardinal Timothy Manning August 28, 1981.)
Graces obtained through Mother Luisita's intercession

Venerable Mother María Luisa Josefa of the Most Blessed Sacrament, also called Mother Luisita (June 21, 1866 – February 11, 1937) was a Mexican Roman Catholic nun who founded the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles.

She was born María Luisa de la Peña y Navarro in Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco, the third of fourteen children raised in a devout Catholic family. At fifteen years of age she married medical doctor Pascual Rojas. Together they worked to provide medical care for poor people. Dr. Rojas died when Mother Luisita was twenty nine years old.

Mother Luisita founded the order of the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart (Hermanas Carmelitas del Sagrado Corazón, also called Carmelitas de Tijuana) on December 24, 1904 in the Mexican state of Jalisco. In the 1920s, during the Mexican Revolution, Mother Luisita took a group of nuns to the U.S. city of Los Angeles to protect them from the Catholic persecution unleashed by the authorities. This group of nuns became the basis for the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles. Mother Luisita herself went back to Mexico in 1930 where she continued her work of providing healthcare for the poor.

Mother Luisita died on February 11, 1937. In 1942 her remains were secretly taken to be buried in Guadalajara, Jalisco. In 1966 they were brought back to the place of her birth Atotonilco. In 1998 they were placed in a special chapel in that town.

She is a candidate for sainthood and was made venerable on July 1, 2000 by Pope John Paul II. Each year on February 11 the Catholic Church celebrates her Feast.

The beautiful gift of finding this holy woman is that she fits all of what this Apostolate represents, her feast day is also the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes (which is a very great blessing to this ministry)... we pray for those who are seeking the gift of life, and also for Catholic doctors and health care workers. Mother Luisita, not only suffered infertility, but she was married to a doctor who helped to care for others in great need. This was the beautiful gift of fertility (although they had no children, they were gifted with an interior fertility which brings such grace to the soul) in their marriage. She will be such a great prayer warrior as we also pray for the sanctity of Holy Catholic Marriages. Their lives brought about the fruits of her next vocation as founder of the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart. May she bring us all many blessings as we ask her for her prayers for us in this life.  Never forget that God has a beautiful, and fruitful plan for your life. We all just have to wait on Him to show us the way.... May God bless and keep you today and always.

Catholics look to ease the moral, religious pain of infertility

Some old news, but still important...voiced by Our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI in November of 2005.

Contraception & Family Planning
Pope Benedict

Restates Opposition To Abortion,
Artificial Reproduction,
Support for Natural Family Planning
[Nov 28, 2005]

Pope Benedict XVI in a speech at Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Italy on Friday reiterated the Roman Catholic Church's support for natural family planning, Reuters reports (Reuters, 11/25). In his speech, the pope discussed the university's Paul VI's International Scientific Institute Of Research On Human Fertility And Infertility and its research on "responsible reproduction." He said the institute is working "to give a sound scientific basis to the natural control of human fertility and to attempt to overcome infertility by natural means" (Agence France-Presse, 11/25). He also commended Pope Paul VI's 1968 papal letter, Humanae Vitae -- which banned all forms of contraception -- for discussing the "natural regulation of human fertility," and he repeated the Catholic Church's stance on overcoming infertility "in a natural way," Reuters reports. Under Catholic doctrine, birth control and condoms are prohibited but natural family planning practices are allowed. The Roman Catholic Church in June of last year was successful in helping to block a referendum that would have dismantled Italy's law on artificial reproduction, according to Reuters (Reuters, 11/25).

Marriage Prayer, Blessings and Resources

Dearest Friends,
As we celebrate our wedding anniversary today, I find myself thinking of all of you! I pray what ever day you were married, that you will celebrate the gift and treasure your marriage is bringing to your lives each and every moment. If the little House Sparrows can enjoy each other, I know that God can give us the grace to enjoy each other no matter what the burden may be in your lives right now. Keep holding on to the GRACE that God is sending you today...
It was by no mistake that the two of you were found and made a holy commitment. What ever your struggles may be, remember the both of you are more precious than gold and silver in God's eyes, and He is watching over you both right this very moment.
My favorite story about a beautiful wedding is in the book of Tobit found in our Holy Catholic Bible, if you have not read this story, I highly recommend that you do. This story shows you when two souls are brought together by God's holy will, nothing gets in the way of His blessings. Let us all celebrate our Marriage vocation today and everyday!!!
Please find below a Wedding Anniversary prayer someone sent me today and a Marriage Prayer. Blessings to you and the one you love....

Our Lady's Yes to God the Father

Do you know that when Our Lady said yes, in response to the Angel Gabriel, asking her if she would be willing to bear the Christ Child. This is an example to US, to also respond with our YES to God the Father, no matter what HE is asking of you. Do you know that there are times He might tell us NO? This is a time we must trust in HIM, with our whole, body, mind and soul. True Devotion to Mary by St. Louis de Montfort, teaches us how to give all of ourselves to Jesus through Mary. This is a good little book to reflect on, it teaches you how to respond with your own Yes, to God the Father.

We are God's children by right of baptism, we are also Mary's children as Jesus gave his people to her as He hung on the cross. Do you not know how much HE LOVES YOU?

Our sufferings can be very heavy at times, most especially in our marriages when our fertility is the cross. I do not take this lightly... this is a great suffering for anyone to loose a child or to suffer infertility. This pain is real!!! However, in the simplicity of our hearts we must turn to Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar (Holy Eucharist, where HE reigns, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity), and place our trust in HIM. This takes much perserverance and it may take you, days, months or even years to reach that place of PEACE, that you are seeking. This all comes about through how you and the Lord work together on this. You are so special to the Father, He will never push you to a place where you are not ready to go. So, this is why it may take a while to receive the peace that He has for you...but, I must tell you just like a child waiting for a gift at Christmas, your package is waiting for you!

There is NO magic cure or answer to when God will send us what we are asking for...Just maybe, He has a better plan, well of course He does because He is God. We may not look at what He gives us as the better part, but when we let go and stop looking back, we will find peace on our journey. It will not be easy...why? Because we are human, and we have what is called human weakness. We desire a quick and easy fix, most especially in these times that we live in, everything is quick and easy (they even make PB&J sandwiches already prepackaged, now that is sad).

We must be still and patient as we wait upon the Lord.

I will tell you if you can try to place yourself in quiet, each and everyday for 30 minutes a day, as a Carmelite Priest once told me, you will find the healing in your body and soul, that you are seeking. Jesus is the Divine Physician - if He is the Healer, then why do we not go to Him first? Instead we seek consolation from everything and everyone else, Jesus our true friend, is sometimes the last one that we actually consider going to in time of need. I realize we pray, but do we actually listen to what He has to say to us?

Below is a method of prayer that the Carmelites and many monastic souls have used. I pray that this will be a step to your peace as you begin to heal through the sufferings endured and the cross you carry... for Jesus says in the Gospel according to Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your selves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light."

Lecio Divina is the sure way it is the method of Teresian Prayer...

File Format: PDF/Adobe Acrobat - View as HTMLFramework of Teresian Prayer. by Fr. Sam Anthony Morello, Discalced Carmelite ... simplicity and inner unity of monastic prayer. The Teresian spirit ... www.elcarmelo.org/LectioDivinaMorello.pdf

Light your candle, sit in a comfortable place...make a cup of tea ... sit with the Lord who is your very best friend and listen... Open your heart, open your hands, close your eyes, pray... "Come Holy Spirit, Come by means of the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, your well beloved spouse" ....and now listen...

Let this be your first yes, in response to God the Father... as He waits for you to rest in Him and His only Son Our Lord Jesus Christ...may the Holy Spirit come to bring you the peace you need today and always.

God Bless You!

Letter from the Poor Clare's to YOU

I would like to share with you a letter we received from the Poor Clare's yesterday, what a beautiful gift of support they are sharing in the spirit of Christ. God Bless You!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Little hearts,
There are times in life when suffering and struggles have no obvious solution, we cannot see our way forward, we have a great realization of our own inner poverty and helplessness....... this is a time to surrender to God and trust that whatever happens it will be somehow for the best....It is a time to surrender all things into Gods hands and into his Will, which is pure love.
We would like to recommend to you at such times along with your Office, praying with Mary... or even just on its own that you pray the Chaplet of Our Holy Mother St Colette. The Editor of the Boston Journal has made a really beautiful meditative recording of the Chaplet, it is a free gift of love and to be regarded as a mission.
If you would like a free CD of this recording, or a voice file for your friends, please write to the address below, either directly on the e-mail address or go to the site. It would make a perfect gift for someone in perplexity and trial or dealing with sickness.
Please as you pray your Office ask Mary to bless and make fruitful this iniative, thankyou Little hearts. You can get your beautiful CD at.
Emotional Health ~ Miscarriage ~ Stillbirth ~ Infertility
This image was obtained with permission
Although the first article below is in regards to miscarriage and stillbirth, it is in my opinion that the "5 Stages of Grief" should also be looked at in regards to fertility/infertility problems. Although you may not experience a miscarriage each month, when struggling with fertility it is a continual death, until we find the help we need to correct the problems we are enduring or until we receive acceptance only God alone can give us.
We pray these articles will be a help to you where you are, if you are struggling with grief, We understand your pain. Learning to accept where we are in life is the first step to true peace in Christ.
~ Prayer to St. Joseph ~
To you, O Blessed Joseph, we come in our trials, and having asked the help of your most holy spouse, we confidently ask your patronage also. Through that sacred bond of charity which united you to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God and through the fatherly love with which you embraced the Child Jesus, we humbly beg you to look graciously upon the beloved inheritance which Jesus Christ purchased by his blood, and to aid us in our necessities with your power and strength.
O most provident guardian of the Holy Family, defend the chosen children of Jesus Christ. Most beloved father, dispel the evil of falsehood and sin. Our most mighty protector, graciously assist us from heaven in our struggle with the powers of darkness. And just as you once saved the Child Jesus from mortal danger, so now defend God's Holy Church from the snares of her enemies and from all adversity. Shield each one of us by your constant protection, so that, supported by your example and your help, we may be able to live a virtuous life, to die a holy death, and to obtain eternal happiness in heaven. Amen.
Saint Catherine of Sienna Intercessor for Pregnancy
Saint Catherine of Sienna, is one of my patrons and also a Dominican Doctor of the Church...wow, how much more powerful intercession do we need in a Saint. Please check out this beautiful site in honor of St. Catherine: http://www.st-catherine-medal.com/prayers-to-saint-catherine.htm
ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA'S PATRON SAINT
St. Catherine is a the patron saint of Europe, firefighters, against fire, bodily ills, illness, miscarriages, nurses, people ridiculed for their piety, against sexual temptation and sick people. St. Catherine suffered much sickness during her lifetime, and so her patronage of sick people and illness is apparent. Her patronage of firefighters has an interesting history: During her ecstasies, St. Catherine, at times fell into fires, so transported was she from her surroundings; however, her skin and clothes remained untouched by the flames. She is also the patron saint of misscarriages, nurses, nursing services and, people ridiculed for their piety.
Miscarriage
I have just received notice of two recent miscarriages and women in need of prayer for this great sorrow in their lives. It saddens me to hear of these losses, in my heart I know Our Lord is taking care of those in this deep pain. Please know that if you have had a recent loss, that Our Lady is with you. She is comforting you, especially when you are feeling so alone!
There is a deep suffering that I endure at times that nothing can take away, accept resting in Our Lords presence in Holy Eucharist... in times of crisis...yes, I do struggle to desire wanting to be near the Lord, but in my heart, I know that there is no where else to go accept to Him who waits in the tabernacle for us.
If you are enduring this cross of miscarriage, stillbirth, infant death and infertility (this is a silent death), I want to urge you to run to Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar. Jesus is our true medicine! He will bring you peace and hope in time...trust in HIM!!!
Love and Prayers,
Saint Ephrem of Syria
Prayer of Saint Ephrem – O Lord and Master of my life, Keep from me the spirit of discouragement, carelessness, covetousness, and vain words. Grant me, Your servant, the spirit of purity, humility, patience, and love. May my Lord and King grant that I might see my own sins and not judge my brother and sister, for You are blessed forever and ever. Amen.
St. Ephrem is a wonderful example of faith. He was very devoted to the Holy Eucharist, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and to the Holy Trinity.
As we visit Our Lord in Holy Eucharist may He lift our discouragements and bring us the joy that we are seeking in the midst of our great sorrow...Help us Lord to find that patience and love through the cross that we carry today and always.
God bless you.
With Love and Prayers,
Hannah's Tears
